Moving to Nashville represents the next chapter of my journey as an artist and founder. For the past six years, I have built Art In Room through experience, persistence, and a belief that artists deserve opportunities to be seen and heard. Through that process, I have learned how to organize exhibitions, build relationships, create community, and develop a vision. However, I have reached a point where continuing to grow requires me to strengthen my knowledge of both art and business.
Attending school in Nashville will give me the opportunity to continue developing as an artist while gaining the education, mentorship, and professional connections needed to become a stronger leader for Art In Room. Being surrounded by other artists, creative professionals, and educators will challenge me to expand my perspective and develop the skills necessary to build an organization that can operate at a global level.
This move is not only about furthering my own education—it is about investing in the future of Art In Room and the artists it will support. Every skill I gain, every connection I build, and every experience I have will contribute to creating a stronger foundation for the gallery. Nashville represents growth, opportunity, and the next step toward turning the vision I started years ago into a lasting institution that creates opportunities for artists around the world.

Art In Room Gallery

During COVID, I was an artist at a gallery in Venice, CA — watching talented people get turned away at the door, leaving defeated. I couldn't let it sit. I started organizing group exhibitions inside the gallery, giving those artists a stage alongside the ones who already belonged. But hope wasn't enough — I had to learn how to actually run something. I taught myself to curate, learned how to sell, and kept pushing until we landed at the LA Art Show, one of the biggest art fairs in Los Angeles. Institutions noticed. Galleries noticed. We got on Artsy. The gallery became real. Now I understand what it actually takes to sustain one — and I'm going back to art school to make sure I don't waste what we built.
